Forty years ago… a big chunk of land in Fairburn was known as a great place to spend a lazy afternoon. It was the home of five lakes, a bait shop, a few docks and a day-fishing camp. Now it is the home of families who are enjoying the experience of living in a park-like setting.

Many residents express that living in The Lakes at Cedar Grove is very different than other subdivisions. What they like best are the lakes. They create a very serene environment with nature and lots of wild life. The residents not only like living 15 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, they also like the family-friendly atmosphere as well. The amenities at The Lakes at Cedar Grove include 123-acres of recreational space with five lakes and a fishing dock; jogging and bike trails; natural woodland paths; children’s play area; junior Olympic pool with water slide and play fountain; lighted tennis courts; volleyball court; and a lovely Clubhouse overlooking two lakes.

The Lakes of Cedar Grove is a beautiful and peaceful place to live. With the annual Block party, Yard of the Month contest, Jazz on the Lakes (our Signature Event), Christmas parties, active neighborhood watch activities and the many other family, adult, and children activities throughout the year, there’s no wonder it’s known as a well-hidden secret in South Fulton County.

There are committees to join and assist with events, services and information. The Landscape, Clubhouse Welcome, Neighborhood Watch, and the Transition Committees including our Youth Coordinators all work together to add to the ambiance of the community.
