Fulton County Cooperative Extension Releases October Class Schedule

Registration is open for Fulton County residents to sign-up for Cooperative Extension's October Classes. Classes are free and residents are encouraged to register early to secure their seat. Please call 404-613-7670 to register or to find out more information about the class.

October Classes:

Walk Georgia Fall 2016 Session: Began September 26th but runs through all of October for 8 weeks. Register at www.WalkGeorgia.org and receive weekly newsletters and prizes.

Using Your Credit Wisely - understand the basic concepts of credit, your credit score and how to use credit wisely

Tuesday October 11th. Open to public; registration is required.
5 pm - 6 pm

Dogwood Library
MyPlate for Kids! - a fun and interactive program for elementary aged kids that involves a relay race focused on MyPlate and a discussion on the importance of colorful fruits and vegetables. Open to public; registration is required.

Spruill Oaks Library
Cancer Prevention Cooking School - American Cancer Society and UGA Extension team up to present a 3 hour program defining breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer and healthy lifestyle changes you can add to your life to prevent cancer. Free cookbooks and cooking demonstration are provided. Open to public; registration is required.

Cancer Recovery through Lifestyle Change - Before the Compassion for Cancer Yoga Class, learn about healthy lifestyle habits for those currently receiving treatment or are in remission. Open to public.

Wednesday October 26th

Family Life Center at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church
Fulton County Cooperative Extension hosts monthly classes on topics such as nutrition, financial management and gardening. Classes are held in various locations throughout the county. Call (404) 332-2400 for more information.
